Rookie girl group YJIG announce disbandment

Rookie girl group YJIG surprised fans by announcing their disbandment right after announcing their upcoming schedule. The group debuted back in September with the song 'Prince' as four with the members Joha, Chaeni, Mwah, and Yejoo.

In April, the group's company GR Entertainment announced the departure of Mwah and Yejoo, who were leaving the group officially on the 27th of April due to personal reasons. The company had already opened up auditions to recruit new members for the group, who would be added ahead of their comeback. While preparing for this comeback, Joha and Chaeni were dealing with stress and depression. After deliberation between the company and the members, it was decided it would be too hard to continue on and that they would disband.

You can check out the full company statement.

It's a pity this is the first time I hear about this group, the song's not bad at all. I hope the members find what they're looking for.

The government should better regulate those small companies, there have been so many news lately about smaller agencies' rookie groups disbandment...The working conditions and pay checks in those companies must be really poor and probably there might even be some mistreatment of trainees or artists so..no wonder so many of them part ways with the company. I feel bad for all those young people who9 had dreams but now don't have any place to go :/
